About Reyes Tree Service

Real tree care from someone who actually lives in your neighborhood.

How we got here

Our founder spent eight years learning the trade the right way—at a large company where the bar for safety and technique was genuinely high. He was good at the work. He learned how to take on the jobs others wouldn't touch: massive removals, storm damage, the kind of work that requires both skill and years of knowing what can go wrong.

But somewhere in the middle of getting really good, something felt off. The jobs became transactions. Crews rolled in and rolled out. Nobody knew the property, nobody knew the homeowner, nobody seemed to care much about the details that mattered most—how the work looked after, what the customer actually needed versus what was easiest to sell.

Five years ago, he decided to start small and do it differently. He built a tight team of people he knew and trusted. The rule was simple: every job gets the same care whether it's a backyard cleanup or a full property renovation. He'd show up himself. He'd listen to what people actually wanted. He'd explain the work in plain language so people understood why it mattered.

That's how Reyes Tree Service started. Not as a business plan, but as a reaction to what wasn't working.

'We do this because we want our neighbors to trust us. That matters more than the next job.'

— Founder, Reyes Tree Service

What we've learned

Thirteen years in this work teaches you things. Not theories. Real lessons you only understand after you've made mistakes, fixed them, and seen the result on someone's property.

The first thing: technical skill alone isn't enough. We've seen contractors with certifications and training miss the obvious—like the fact that this tree matters to this homeowner because their kid climbed it. When we approach a job, we're asking what the property should feel like when we're done, not just what the estimate covers. It changes how we work.

The second: most people don't call a tree service because they want to. They call because something's wrong, or scary, or they don't know what to do. They're stressed. That's when honesty matters most. We don't upsell. We tell people what actually needs to happen and why, and if there's a cheaper way to handle it, we say so. It builds trust that lasts.

The third: consistency is rarer than people think. We show up when we say we will. The work is the same quality on project one as it is on project one hundred. The yard looks good when we leave. These aren't special promises—they're just what it should be like. But they matter enough that we make them our standard.

How we work

When you call, you're usually talking to someone who's actually been on the property. We listen more than we pitch. We explain what we're seeing and what we'd recommend, and we make sure you understand before anything happens. No surprises. No pressure.

The team that shows up is the team we know. Same people, same standards, same attention to how the work looks when it's done. We clean up after ourselves. We respect your property like it's our own.

If you're thinking about tree work and you want to talk to someone who actually cares how it turns out, we're here. Give us a call. We'll listen to what you need and tell you straight.
